Delete your Cruze account

How to delete your account and what happens to your data.

Delete from the app

  1. Open Cruze and go to Profile.
  2. Tap Delete account.
  3. We email you a confirmation link. Open it and confirm.
  4. Your account closes immediately and you are signed out on every device.

The confirmation email exists so that nobody can delete your account — and the earnings attached to it — from an unlocked phone. Deleting always requires access to your inbox.

Request deletion without the app

If you can no longer sign in, email hello@cruze.ad from the address on your account, with the subject Delete my account. We action requests within 30 days.

You have 30 days to change your mind. Your account is closed straight away, but nothing is erased until the 30-day window ends. Signing in again before then restores everything. After that, deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

Deleting only some of your data

You do not have to close your account to have data removed. Under the UK GDPR you can ask us to erase specific data and keep everything else, and we action those requests within 30 days like any other.

Some records we cannot erase on request: where money was paid to you, tax and accounting law requires us to keep the transaction. Those are stripped of everything identifying you rather than deleted, exactly as below.

What is deleted

Deleted permanently Your profile (name, email, phone) · vehicles · trips and their routes · all GPS location history · campaign enrolments · bank details · device records and diagnostics
Kept, no longer linked to you Records that money was paid to you, stripped of anything identifying you. We are required to keep financial records for tax and accounting, and this is the narrowest way to do that. Aggregate campaign totals (distance covered in a zone) are also kept, with no route and nothing identifying you in them.
Kept as an anonymous marker If your account was flagged for fraud, we keep a one-way fingerprint of your email and phone number so the same account cannot simply be recreated. It cannot be reversed to identify you.

For the full picture of what we collect and how long we keep it, see the privacy policy.
